Video quality is not working still or how can I use this option.
Video features are not currently supported. There are other limitations, most of them are listed in the opening post.

Just wanted to add my thanks, and interest :)
To you people developing the code, and testing it out. I'm sort of in luv with my little sx280 here, but there are things that would enhance it even more, as a raw mode. I'll be following this thread with a lot of interest.

New builds - the only reason I'm posting this is to enable users to run scripts that check the CHDK revision number.

Change since the previous release:
- Integer divisions are now done in hardware (the ARM CPU supports them). This will speed up some internal calculations, but I doubt that anyone will notice the difference. However, division by zero will cause an exception from now on, so the probability of crashes will increase...

edit:
old builds removed

Can it dump crash logs if that happens?

Can it dump crash logs if that happens?
Division by zero will show up as an "undefined instruction" exception, the log can be saved later as usual ("miscellaneous stuff" -> "debug parameters" -> "save rom crash log").

I'm only mentioning this possibility because this can't happen on any earlier DIGIC processors (the division routines used by CHDK don't cause exceptions there). The only time I got such a crash was when I was using the modified benchmark (that calculation is now protected against division by zero).

Super job
I have 10.000 image with sx270 and chdk Intervall

Is there shortly raw video or video with high bitrate with sx280/sx275/sx270

Is there shortly raw video
Unlikely due to the following reasons:
- The SD card writing speed is limited to ~21MB/s
- Nobody ever implemented raw video on point&shoots
- DIGIC 6 is changed considerably over previous generations, techniques which used to work on previous DIGICs may not be compatible

video with high bitrate with sx280/sx275/sx270
There are interesting debug strings in the firmware which relate to video compression, but I have bigger problems with this port (CHDK display performance, missing basic CHDK features, correct integration to existing CHDK code, ...). I did not look into video support yet.

edit:
People who can do research or development are very welcome...

Anyone noticing the flickering menu? Also Hybrid Auto and RAW doesn't want to work together. When you take a picture with Hybrid Auto+RAW, the camera gets stuck and when you take the battery out and put it back in, CHDK won't load anymore unless you disable it or reset it.

Known issue, you may want to switch to playback mode prior to browsing the CHDK menu.

Reproduced, nasty bug. I'm going to disable RAW in HA mode. In the meantime, if someone encounters this: remove the most recent MP4 file from the card. In my case, I had to do it on the PC because the camera got stuck at start (even when started without CHDK).
So, don't shoot RAW in Hybrid Auto mode.

edit:
The lockup doesn't happen if I allow the chdk open() function to fail if it can't "take" the fileio_semaphore within 2 seconds.
