New release, with "normal" sized default font and other CHDK improvements (port specific code is unchanged).

Changes:
- default font is no longer tiny (but it's uglier due to rough magnification)
- the old, tiny font can still be chosen for OSD elements, by using CHDK Settings -> OSD Layout Editor
- motion detection should work better (by 62ndidiot)
- histogram and zebra are now available, with some limitations (by 62ndidiot)
- custom auto ISO and the Lua get_live_histo function should now work correctly (by reyalp)

Note that thresholds for zebra and custom auto ISO need to be set particularly high on this camera.

When upgrading an existing install, CHDK settings may need to be reset due to the changed palette.

All recent releases in this thread work on all 3 models mentioned in the title: sx270hs, sx275hs, sx280hs.

I have updated the builds rather than fixing the filenames.
The only change I remember is the availability of edge overlay (it has issues though).

Possibly. I don't recall anybody requesting it, though.
I'm currently working on a utility that will finally allow me to jump around in a disassembly (and more) - it should make further development easier, once I finish it. That's the reason I'm not working on CHDK at the moment.

I have finally added filewritetask / PTP remote shooting support in r4979.
I basically just reused the implementation found in the G16 port. Most of the code and all offsets seemed to match, so I did not have to do any debugging.
While testing some of the more dreaded shooting modes (sports, hi speed burst), I found that rs -cont and rs -quick makes more shots than usual (7 shots when 5 was requested). The last of those 7 shots was written to the card. This is obviously something that would require some debugging.
Regular modes (Av, Tv, P, M) work better, that's the reason I decided in favor of publication.
After remote shooting, there's no problem with switching to and from playback mode.

Kindly requesting assistance here.
Since sx280hs-102c-1.5.0-500x every release is faulty on SX280hs. The last good working release is sx280hs-102c-1.5.0-4924 at me but it is possible I've missed some still working releases.
The fault descripiton is the following. After taking picture the camera signals SD card failure and so can't take pictures anymore. Have to switch camera on/off again to make pictures again.
That never happens with builds below 500x.

I've probably screwed up something when I added filewritetask support to the port. I'll take a look.

edit:
There was a typo in the 102c source, affecting 102c and 102d cameras. Should be fixed in revision 5006.
