I have enabled the "firmware update" boot method in changeset 5007.
It does work on my 102b camera. In case of any problems, please post here.

I have enabled movie mode support for all supported fw versions.
Since 102c and 102d are untested, those ports might be broken starting at revision 5013. Please leave a note in this thread if that happened, so that we can fix it.

Important: maximum achievable video bitrate is approx. 35000 kbit/s.

I have recently installed CHDK on my SX270 HS fw.1.02c.
Thanks to rsa_4c good job !!

The functions I use work well, except for the "custom auto ISO". I read Reply # 300, but that did not help me.
The ISO value is corrected and the aperture or exposure time is recalculated, but apparently the corrected ISO value is not adopted. This results in incorrect exposures when using the "custom auto ISO".
Personally, I find it a pity, because in my view with the camera-internal ISO automatic the ISO value often unnecessarily too high and thus the images are avoidable noisy.

An improvement would be great!!

My very basic testing does not show exposure problems.
Please specify your camera settings (in Canon menus) and the shooting mode (Av, Tv, M, etc) you're using. Plus your custom auto ISO settings.

Known cases when overrides fail are:
- "AF frame" set to tracking AF in Canon menu
- Servo AF is enabled in Canon menu

Thank you srsa_4c for your quick reply !! I have checked my settings carefully again, without success. I do not use - "AF frame" and no "servo AF". The incorrect exposures only become apparent when the "custom auto ISO" deviates significantly from the camera-internal ISO automatic. For example, if the "custom auto ISO" returns 80 and the camera-internall ISO automatic 160, then the pictures will be overexposed as if recorded with ISO160. If I set ISO to manual 80 in this case, the exposure is correct, with the same Tv and Av values as in "custom auto ISO" displayed and stored in the EXIF data.

I use the following values in the "custom auto ISO":

Minimum Shutter Speed: 15
User Factor (1/FL/factor): 4
IS Factor (Tv*factor): 1
Min ISO:80
Max ISO Auto: 3200
Fallback Min. Shutter Speed:off

S100 Fw.: 1.02a
SX270 HS Fw.: 1.02c

I'm still unable to reproduce. I still don't know which shooting mode you are using, and the camera settings might matter too.
Can you successfully override ISO from the Enhanced photo operations menu (disable custom auto iso when you try)?

I use the program mode. I tested the "override ISO" successfully. I have the feeling that "custom auto ISO" only leads to overexposure in very bright conditions

Because the incorrect exposures with "custom auto ISO" can not be reproduced, I went through all sorts of settings again. So I figured out that the "i-contrast" in the standard menu cause the overexposures with bright light!!! "i-contrast" turned off and "custom auto ISO" works as expected!!!

Thanks for that, I added this info to the camera notes.
