I don't know if I'd use the verb "messes-up" as that implies it causes the PTP functionality to substantially stop working.  Unless I'm missing something.

For me and someone else it stopped WIA-Loader from working.

It took some effort to remove it.

I think reyalp has either alluded or explicitly referred to this type of problem.

Once you install something that wants to control the USB ports it has been assigned, that makes sense.

But if the question is whether it works properly with the various CHDK ptp programs, then the answer is yes.

so I know this topic is 2.5 years old, but I went to that website and he's selling software for android cameras, but is using canon cameras. Anyone use his software. it's the cheapest I've seen. $625 for a decent array size.
