Here's another example of how much raw could be usefull, imho, to save a pic already taken (I had to climb a tree, put the camera inside the cage, keep in balance and avoid to fall down..and only one shot to take this pic, with sun in my face).

ps. The real vision was very closed to the second image, not the first one of course.

What i changed in camera raw is:

White balance, exposure, recovery, fill light, brightness and contrast.
