Code: [Select]
C:\chdkptp>chdkptp -c -e"d CHDK/CCHDK4.CFG BACKUP.CFG"
connected: Canon PowerShot A2500 , max packet size 512
A/CHDK/CCHDK4.CFG->BACKUP.CFG
That's a much better.  You were able to download a file from the camera!

ERROR: General Error
At this point,  the problem seems to be with chdkptp / multicam.lua.  When you run this,  make sure there is no script already running on the camera  (i.e. bcamRem.lua should not be running).

Let's see if reyalp has any suggestions?

The cam shoot immediately , it doesn't wait to 5 volt to go off
Don't worry about that for now - it's the least of your worries.  We'll fix that later.

I believe you are seeing the same problem I reported here :  http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=11615 - down at the bottom of the first post.

I believe philmoz updated the sigfinder to get around that so you are going to need a new "custom" build.

I'll send you something in a little while.

thx

the path issue is very strange since when checking it directly on SD card (taking out the SD card and connecting it to PC . there is not TMP folder ) also when using simple download / mdownload with default script I can get the images without the TMP folder , meaning A/DCIM/149___07/IMG_1495.JPG

Yup - all true.  But the multicam.lua script is using a function that returns an incorrect folder path so that's why it doesn't work.  Making a new build for you now.

Tomorrow I will check it on 2 or more cameras (taking lots of time to format SD )

(Later we will figure out why it isnt wait till 5 volt drop before shooting picture)

Thank you waterwings for all your help !!!!!!!!!!

Later we will figure out why it isnt wait till 5 volt drop before shooting picture.

  • Using either your customized version of CHDK or the one from the autobuild,  make sure your remote settings are as shown above.
  • Start the camera with nothing attached to the USB port.
  • Get into shooting mode (i.e. lens extended and ready to take a picture).
  • Plug a USB cable between your PC and the camera.
  • When the cable is first attached,  the camera should focus, start to take a picture, and then stop with the screen blanked
  • Unplug the USB cable from the camera.
  • The camera should complete the taking a picture and the screen should no longer be blank.

If that does not work,  there is something wrong with where the hook for wait_until_remote_button_is_released() has been inserted in capt_seq.c.   I can't tell from reading the A2500 porting thread if it was actually tested.
