I created small batch file which
1. Connect to cameras, shoot & download images to PC ( using waterwings bcamRem.lua script)
2. Check and create new folder (last folder + 1) according to last folder used (single folder for all pictures)
3. Copy and rename pictures (from multiple cameras folder) file name according to cameras number
I have not finished the new version of the script that sorts the images by camera number (i.e. the number you set in Script parameter field for each camera).   It's working here but I'm still "tuning" the error checking.   So what you are seeing is the USB camera number - which will not correspond to the numbers on each camera's LCD.

1. You can be sure that I am waiting for your code , I just create simple batch to check the process
2. I found 7 Port USB with power switch per port, it is just controlling the +5 volt (red wire)

when switch close , the camera get 5 volt t
when switch open , the camera doesn't get power but it still connected via data wires (+/- data)

I tried to connect between all switches and have two wires controlling on all 7 ports (open / close circuit)
but it failed to work , it was always powered even if i disconnected between the 2 wires , therefor I must use relay to control each port.


I found cheap dual port relay (HK 19F-DC 5V)

Which I am planing to use to control the usb port power
(I will connect it to push button - Without software at this point , later I will use USB/SERIAL controlled 8 port relay board )

It might be easier to figure out why it failed to work when you tried to wire them together than to wire a seperate relay to each port.  Did you take any pictures of your attempted modifications ?  Or can you make a diagram of what you tried to do?

I don't think you want the two relay coils wired in series like that?

One advantage of your setup is the ability to test fire any camera with the existing switches. The drawback might be poor sync if the relays energize at slightly different rates.  Probably not as bad as just using PTP  to shoot with no hardware sync but you'll have to test to find out.

I can use single port relay but dual port is more cost effective

Single pole relays would be worse.

One other note - you probably what to use the N.C. terminals on your relays so that when you press the bottom the contact opens to disconnect the 5V to the cameras.

I created simple board that control the 7port USB power using single (dual port) relay

It is NC , only when pressing the push button the camera shoot.

Will update when connecting 4 * 7 port USB

I believe this is the most "elegance" & simple way to do it

I tested it with two cameras connected to different 7 port USB hub controlled by two relay ,activate by push button

It is sync up to 0.001
