ISO on chdk

Hello,

I recently made a 21 point and shoot 3d scanner and I'm getting mediocre result because I didn't
know that you could not set ISO or aperture speed on cheap camera (those are nikon).
I know, I should have bought just one and try.

However I'm confused, I read in some places that you can set ISO and on other places that ISO override usually don't work.

Can you or can you not set the ISO with chdk? I need ISO to be at minimum on all cameras.
The cheapest point and shoot with at least 16MP canon I found right now is the powershoot 3500 IS (75€)

Thanks.

Not sure what you read or where?  There are years worth of posts here and some of them are now inaccurate, out-of-date, or just plain wrong.

You can definitely set ISO, as well as Tv (shutter speed), and if your camera has an adjustable aperture the Av (f-stop) using CHDK.

Although,  on almost all of my different Canon P&S cameras, it's possible to specify the ISO setting without using CHDK.

Unfortunately, nobody has ported CHDK to the A3500.

If you are willing to help with testing,  you might be able to get someone here to do a port for you.
Ported :   A1200    SD940   G10    Powershot N    G16

Damn you are right, I just downloaded the user manual of the powershoot 3500 IS, you can set the ISO value, seems like you can also set the TV value.

Why did I buy 21 camera without checking ><
