Maybe You have compiled chdk for Ixus 265 HS for testing? I wanna run remote control by usb cable. Thx for help:)
There have been some minor updates and fixes for the Ixus 265-100a HS and Ixus 265-100c HS cameras  porting attempt.
But as far as I can recall there is still more work to be done on these cameras.

( My Laptop only has versions back to 10-04-2016 which was then at trunk-4585, so will have to look in my archives.)

H-H
Hardware_Hacker would be great. I wanna test this camera on drone with remote shutter. Greetings

Much love and thanks for working toward this port. :)
Patiently waiting with fingers crossed.. I'm no coder but can I somehow help?

Now I risked a look in that unk_area_twilight_zone  :-X (ixus265_elph340hs) and got that cryptic lines.
Code: [Select]
/usr/bin/sh: svnversion: command not found
In file included from ../../include/platform.h:18:0,
                 from main.c:2:
../../include/shooting.h:215:22: error: expected identifier or '(' before 'int'
 int get_focal_length(int zp);
                      ^
../../include/shooting.h:217:16: error: expected identifier or '(' before 'int'
 int get_zoom_x(int zp);
                ^
../../include/shooting.h:261:1: warning: useless type name in empty declaration
 extern int recreview_hold;
 ^
main.c:32:27: error: expected identifier or '(' before '[' token
 extern int focus_len_table[NUM_FL*NUM_DATA];
                           ^
main.c:48:22: error: expected identifier or '(' before 'int'
 int get_focal_length(int zp) {
                      ^
main.c:54:16: error: expected identifier or '(' before 'int'
 int get_zoom_x(int zp) {
                ^
gmake[1]: *** [main.o] Error 1
gmake: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
Can anything be done here with updated tools?

Edit:  :( same with /platform/main.c from ixus170 (prob. same lens)

It seems like a syntax error due to some malformed C elsewhere, perhaps in one of the includes.

What source are you using?
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Personally, I'd suggest starting from scratch over trying to use that. There is no indication it was working at the time posted, and the authors other works do inspire confidence.

With code gen, ghidra, and numerous ports from the same generation, this should be a relatively easy port.

 If you really want to start from someone else's work,  d27_'s apparently compiled and booted, at least https://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=11597.msg124355#msg124355

If you're still interested, I can make a port for this camera.
I don't have that camera so I can't do any testing.
As far as I can see the published source code is just a file structure copied from some other camera. :(

What version of firmware has your camera?
