Hi. I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. I'm looking for a CHDK compatible camera to do some macro work and would like to try out the focus bracketing feature. I'm currently looking at the Canon G15, but if someone could recommend any other alternatives that support CHDK and are more suitable for macro photography, I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, could someone tell me how quick the focus bracketing feature is? I realize it's going to be a different speed on different cameras. Could someone post their camera model and the approximate speed you get when doing focus bracketing? Example: how long would it take for a series of 5 or 10 shots a different focal lengths?

Any information is welcome and much appreciated.

It shouldn't be much different from the continuous shooting speed. It doesn't take any of the cameras very long to move the lens to a specific position. On my D10, it seems to take something like .3 sec to move through the whole range, and somewhat less for minor adjustments.
