I am trying to use 'a version' of IDA Pro 5.2 to disassemble S100 101b (or 101a).

I'd suggest that you contact the IDA (now Hex-Rays) support with your question.

Seems to be working with current configuration, in addition the firmware dump may have been corrupted.
