A user in IRC has reported this camera crashes if you attempt to shoot (or even half shoot) in PTP. Lightly annotated romlog attached. Switching to rec mode does work.
I would be interested to know if anyone else with this camera has successfully shot while connected to PTP.
The crash isn't one I've seen before,

The same function is called from ExMem alloc, although I'm not certain it's taking that path in this case.
The autobuilds do not use exmem for this port.
The camera has relatively little free heap, 300k ish when running lua in rec mode.
The crash happens in both the 1.2 and 1.3 autobuilds.
