Tried the above but there are no red links on the page only a request for a password. I logged into the forum correctly again but got the same result so cannot get the manual. Is there not a simpler way to get this....or am I doing somethi9ng wrong??

Please advise

To download CHDK Quick Start User Guide go to Wiki - http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK, look under "Basic Articles", click
on CHDK UserGuide 2009, which will take you to http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/File:CHDK_UserGuide_April_2009_A4.pdf ,
download the .pdf file from there.

The DropIO "drop" has expired, I will probably make a new "drop" with an updated manual, A4 and booklet sizes (v1.8.8 ) in
a few days, this will be an unpaid "drop" and will only be available for 1000 (I think) downloads. I will leave the DropIO
address here later.

While I'm here, I ought to add a thank-you for the booklet version. Nice to have a manual that fits in the camera bag.

Cheers!

Here's the new address for the A4 and Booklet size of V1.8.8, included is the Installation Guide and a .doc file of the A4 size, (each available separately)
   http://drop.io/CHDK_Quick_Start_User_Guide_
the other address at the Wiki in a few posts above is still valid for A4. (now 1.8.8 )

Hi all
I'd like to modify the user guide developing the TV override section (explaining how to use factor and the Shutterspeed)  What do you think about adding the first paragraphs of this page
http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_firmware_usage/AllBest

there they write about the various combinations of values in order to get different shutter speeds? I think that it would be useful.

Where Could I find the word processor (doc, rtc, etc) to modify?

Is the modified user guide to be approved before its publishing?
thanks in advance

best regards
alex

Hi,
It's good to see your interest in the User Guide. The current info describes the operations fairly well, while not comprehensive, it has been purposely kept  brief to maintain a manageable size book, as it's title suggests.

Send me a PM if you want to ask more.
