Hello.

First of all: can you post what you know about USB in canon? As I read in the forum, no consistent USB knoladge isn't yet gathered.

Secondly: What we know about host-mode-USB in the camera?

As for PictBridge:

"... The PictBridge standard, enables the DSC to connect to a Printer directly via a USB cable. The DSC then operates as a USB Device and the Printer works as a USB Host ..." (on the net)

So, PictBridge not implies host mode in camera. But don't lose faith! Propablly canon printers are on the same ARM system - so host mode - here we come!

there already is a lenghty discussion about this topic: USB Audio Input??? (especially 2nd page). please dont open new threads on already existing topics, as it will clutter the available information throughout the forum.

I thought:
1. There are no developer-usable information in these threads.
2. All the threads were in "request" - and were full of "I think not" with no checking.

It's your forum - I'm only a guest. Just wanted to ask what the chdk members know about the usb (adreses? sig for firmware? what part of code smiles to PTP-protocol, what to canon native protocol, mayby some part even smile to usb-mass-storage class? etc)
