Hello.
I am new here. Sorry if this is not the right place to put this topic in.

I am trying to dump the firmware of the new Ixus 970IS with the udumper method.
I will post the results whenever I am finished, or my hick-ups along the process of doing it.

I'm trying to dump the SD960IS/IXUS110IS firmware.

I'm using CardTricks with a 1Gb SD card. I've tried VxWorks and DryOS which both booted into playback in a state where it just says "No Image" and "Card Locked".

The newDryOS however does nothing when I power it on in playback mode (which I gather is a good sign). It does not however put any data in the empty.dum file. I've tried waiting 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes. Nothing...

Any tips on where to look next would be much appreciated.

Hello Peter,

As a complete newbie, I can't help you :=(
However I also have a IXY 510 IS, Japanese version of SD 960 and with an electronic background (hardware + limited software) I would be more than happy to help.
First question from my side: how do you display firmware version? (No "disp" button on this model).
