a) Camera generates images that are covered with horizontal stripes all over (has to be some sensor defect)
b) Camera overexposes all images (except in very dark room) (has to be a shutter problem)
How tall are the stripes?
Overexposure implies that something is off in the calibration of the sensor - might be caused by age? In any case, does the camera's Ev offset +/- correct it linearly over different scene illuminations?
I set the TV Override to short Exp via CHDK using 0.01 and 0.001 and that gives the same result in terms of brightness. +/- has no effect either.
Do Tv overrides of 1.0 or 0.1 do anything?
