So it looks like I'm unsupported, for now.... too bad, I was all ready to slap on CHDK and send my camera up on my kite when it arrived today.  Now I'm bummed.

Questions:

    Is it possible to downgrade to 1.10b?

    If not, how do I know someone is working on a 1.10c port? 

     Where can I check to see if someone has already dumped the firmware so that I don't have to use my time dumping it myself?

did you try the http://grandag.nm.ru/hdk/autobuild/allbest-ixus700_sd500-101b-50-388.zip (or the "a" version)? sometimes changes in firmware are really small so chdk loads even if it wasnt specifially made for that particular firmware.

Yes, I just tried this as per your suggestion. 

Black screen again.

I guess I'll have to learn how to port it.
