Give it some thought and also think about what else should be tested on a broader scale and if the tests could be automated. I intended to do a test run on all my cameras sometime trying some other things anyway. Among them USB remote on those modes that we didn't try already etc.

@nafraf we have 8 cameras that are marked orange and blue on page one and I'd have to go through the whole thread to find out what exactly the findings were that needed looking into. FWT worked for many I recall. Do you have a list of what was amiss with what model or should I compile one here sometime?

The easiest way to see the whole thread is to click on "print", you'll get a single page containing all posts, after that, it is possible to use browser search function to catch the posts related to each model.

Here is the status of models marked blue on first post of this thread:

g7: FWT is already implemented on trunk and tested. There are problems with bitmap palette, a patch was tested, but it did not work. Test reports: 1, 2

a480: ARAM and FWT worked, there are problems with bitmap palette, but I think we can add the note to notes.txt and submit patch as it is.  Test reports: 1, 2

a2100: Patch includes ARAM support, but memory sizes have not been checked. Other functions has been tested and worked without problems. There are some problems with bitmap palette. Test report here. If ARAM works, I think we can add the note about palette issues and submit the patch.  We can try to fix palette later.

ixus95_sd1200: Patch includes ARAM support, but memory sizes have not been checked. FWT worked. There are some problems with bitmap palette. Test report: 1, 2

If you need that I repost patches for a2100 and ixus95_sd1200 to test ARAM just let me know.

I never bothered to delete any old trunks from my compiler shell. So I can easily get at the last version I compiled and tested for either camera.

Patch for s5is. The port was rewritten using code_gen, then more tests are required: video features, capture overrides, raw capture, fwt, etc. Thanks.

- S5is boots using power button
(just realized I didn't test using play button but the camera is stowed away again already)
- S5is shoots DNG on quick full shutter press without waiting for AF
- S5is shoots DNG on regular camera operation
- Video Quality overrides (5 and 90) were tested and work
- ETR was tested with 00:01:31 and worked
- FWT was tested in single and continuous mode
    - it worked including switching to playback and back to Rec mode afterwards
- remote DNG capture works

This takes us past half of the models I listed. Thanks for all the work that went into this thus far.

What I noticed using an S5is with CHDKPTP is that it's hard to control as it has too many buttons. Func and Set are two separate buttons, the continuous / single mode is controlled by yet another button on the top of the camera and there don't seem to be equivalents on the CHDKPTP interface.

From the dryos model lists we worked on all cameras.
Only three (A800, SX10, A1000) need follow up work and we'll be through that lot.
