Two more patches: a1200
With the A1200 Palette and camera control are fine. FWT works in both single and continuous mode. Going to play mode in either case works with the expected unknown image screen but at the same time crashes the camera. I think this is as expected and A1200 FWT can be added like that.

On crash: "Log is not Saved."

Koshy had a little ELPH which wasn't white as snow but everywhere that Koshy went the ELPH was sure to go. (actually an SD, but that detail ruins the rhyme...)

Patch for sx110is.
SX110 works just fine. Palette is fine, camera operations are fine, both FWT modes work fine. SX110 is done I think.

Patch for ixus125_elph110hs
Palette and camera operations are also fine here.

FWT works in single mode but in continuous mode there is a glitch. rs -jpg -cont=5
results in 4 JPEGS. You can hear five shutter actuations and there is no JPEG on the SD card afterwards. rs -jpg -cont=2 produces 1 JPEG, rs -jpg -cont=3 produces two JPEGs. There is a gap in the file name numbers produced.

Going to play mode in either case works with the expected unknown image screen but at the same time crashes the camera.

I could pull a ROMLOG but the date / time in the log don't match what's set on the camera. I think it is unrelated but looked peculiar so I'm attaching it.

Two more patches: a800
A800 is odd. There are some display problems (see attached screen shot).

FWT does not work in single mode (it crashes the camera) ROMLOG enclosed along with the logs from the build. The second ROMLOG is from a test with continuous mode that also crashed.

FWT starts to work in continuous mode and transfers the first image correctly.
After that the camera reports "memory card error" and CHDKPTP reports:
Code: [Select]
WARNING: capture_get_data error C:\Users\web\Downloads\chdkptp-r599-win32\lua\chdku.lua:1150: General Error
ERROR: C:\Users\web\Downloads\chdkptp-r599-win32\lua\chdku.lua:1150: General Error
The images after the first in continuous mode are either 0 KiB or corrupted.
Rebooting the cam is required to shoot another one correctly.

Please test A1000, fwt is supported in current trunk version.
I could have posted the same kind of CHDKPTP/Camera photo as I did for the G7 here. So controlling the A1000 via CHDKPTP does not work currently since we don't see eveything on the UI overlay. FWT in single mode worked. FWT in continuous mode gave me a few JPEGs and then crashed the cam after the third shot or so. ROMLOG from trunk 3620 version is attached.

PS: I changed the batteries to fresh ones prior to the continuous mode test.
(Just because the screen cap shows 0% energy).

Thanks.  A1200 and SX110 changes committed to trunk. Changesets 3621 and 3622

Does sx110 crash when camera back to play mode?

On ixus125, please increase the value of #define PAUSE_FOR_FILE_COUNTER 250 and test continuous mode again.

No it didn't crash.

I thought nothing of it since it's from the "dryos r31 and earlier" group of cameras that usually didn't crash in my tests.

A request: if you're adding fwt support to DryOS r39...r49 cameras, please test also:
- single and continuous mode with L sized superfine JPEGs shooting a very detailed scene - I'm using a fine black/white grid displayed on my monitor for this. If superfine is not available on the Canon UI, use the CHDK quality override. If either superfine or continuous mode fails, try
CAM_FILEWRITETASK_MULTIPASS (it needs some modifications in filewrite.c too, see a3200 for an example).
- if there's a problem with rs, enabling debug messages can be useful. Use the set cli_verbose=2 chdkptp command before rs.
