Regarding the crashes (a560, ixus75):
The crash reasons are various exceptions, I suspect stack corruption/overflow (LR is okay, PC is not).
CHDK-shell doesn't pick up the correct dump file (as it was not adjusted to the new style build process used in trunk). This dump is located in platform/[camera]/sub/[fwver]/ and is named main.bin.dump. I'm not sure if the dump would say much more about the circumstances though.

Thanks. ixus950_sd850, a570, ixus55_sd450, s3is and ixus65_sd630 updated. Trunk  r4183 - r4188.

Patch to ixus70_sd1000 bitmap palette in attachment.

I don't see a file like that anywhere.
Koshy had a little ELPH which wasn't white as snow but everywhere that Koshy went the ELPH was sure to go. (actually an SD, but that detail ruins the rhyme...)

I'd guess CHDK-shell runs 'make clean' after build is finished.

The attached script update should be able to pick up the file from its newer location. It's untested though.
If you'd like to try it: copy the .au3 script to the CHDK shell root folder (where the CHDK-Shell*.exe executables are), and start it instead of the official .exe . You need to have AutoIt installed for this to work.

That could help eventually: CHDK shell => Compile Option .. => Skip GMAKE clean AFTER

msl
CHDK-DE:  CHDK-DE links

Thank you for that hint. I'll set that option in addition to trying the altered shell.

Thank you. I did use it to re-compile the A560 and I75 builds in the trunks I used for testing before. I hope they will be identical so that the new logs will go together with the ROMLOGS. I also included the main.bin.dump files now that MSL pointed out the option to use to keep them available.

Thank you.

- this one fixes the situation with UI overlay I described as every even button press failing
- on Canon menu items the palette on camera now is matched in CHDKPTP

- the CHDK display items stay white in CHDKPTP
- the CHDK menu palette is still gray / transparent
both shown in the old screen shots

(I did use the reset all colors entry from the CHDK menu)

As reported here I75 only powers on using Play button and the touch control dial interferes with the CHDK menu etc. in ALT mode as was the case for I960 which reyalp fixed in a recent patch.
The I75 touch control dial issue got fixed and tested here.

using Ixus70, could you use the option "Draw Palette" and post an image? Thanks

Sure. This is a screen cap from CHDKPTP. I made sure that it's identical to what the camera shows me. Since that was the case screen shot was the easier way to go.
