GPS bug on S100

I've just been experimenting with the GPS feature on my S100 and the Show Navigation feature isn't working correctly. It reads the Lat/Long co-ordinates from a jpg image, but it doesn't respect whether you are West or East (and I suspect North or South). As you can see from the image it's reading my longitude as being positive, even though I live in the West and it should be negative.

Using the navigate Home option works correctly, giving me a negative longitude.

Not too surprising that if there is a bug,  it crops up this way, as the original author lives in Germany.

I have this feature on my "to do" list for the 1.3.0 User Manual anyway so if nobody else volunteers,  I'll take a look at the code.

I don't know your firmware version. Here is an untested patch with some cleanups.

Builds and runs on my S100 101a.  But I have not done anything with it - at some point there needs to be a manual update.  Which probably means me translating the German functions and comments with google so I can figure out what it's trying to do.   8)

Meanwhile,  the string lengths are wrong for the S100.  For example :

Code: [Select]
493 "GPX-Track - Time Interval           [s]"
494 "GPX-Track Record                  Start"
495 "GPX-Track Record                   Stop"
show in the menu as

GPX-Track - Time Interval          [s
GPX-Track Record                  Sta
GPX-Track Record                   St

I added your patch file to my updates for the GPS module.  I tested today and can confirm that I get the lat. & long. values displayed correctly here in the western hemisphere.  It was fun to pull the gpx logging records into Marble Virtual Globe and have them show up exactly where I was as I walked about with the camera today.  Almost spooky.
