im brand new to this forum and chdk. i went to the download site/page and found zip files for the canon powershot g1 x. is the g1 x ll too new for chdk files? i doubt there is any resemblance of the two cameras.

apologies if this query has been already discussed some place else

There is absolutely no chance CHDK for the original G1 X will work on the mark II.  They are completely different cameras with different processors.
