Question about displaying image info

Hello, firstly I'd like to thank everyone that develops and works on this, amazing !  :o

I'm into astronomy taking pictures of the night sky... just wondering if there is a way to 'time stamp' more info onto the images like shutter speed, iso settings rather than just the time and date.

It would be very helpful in working out the best settings whilst stacking and processing images in Photoshop the day after.

Thanks,

Ability to modify raw data before the jpeg is created is in development for CHDK 1.4. I haven't added text functions yet, though you could make a 8 7 segment display style output pretty easily with rectangles. See discussion at http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=11081.msg119265#msg119265

Alternatives are to get the info from exif, or log your exposures separately from script. jpeg exif may be wrong if you use extreme shutter values (and perhaps in other cases) but DNG should be pretty much right all the time.

Don't forget what the H stands for.

Thanks for the reply, the thread you linked to looks extremely complex to me I will look into exif

First test of chdk attached very happy with it as it would be impossible with the standard sx510
