Hy all,
First of all, thanks a thousand time for your work ! Really impressive (even though I'm sure I d'ont understand half of it...).
Passsioned by TimeLapse Photography, I heard about this magic CHDK, and imediatly bought an IXUS 145 for a ridiculous 60€ on amazon ! (Ok, I know I have been stupid not to check the compatibility before... anyway, it's done.)
So as far as I understand, there is no possibility at the moment to install any tool (CHDK or something else) with an intervalometer on the ixus 145 ?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

No, there is no posibility as far as I know. When I first bought this camera, I did it because of it's 16MPx sensor and 8x zoom. It's my first camera, with pretty good manual options. As I used it, I became more interested in timelapse too, and I discovered CHDK, but sadly there isn't CHDK for this camera yet... I sold my IXUS 145 and I bought an PowerShot SX210is. It has more manual options, like manual focus, manual aperture setting, etc. and it has CHDK support. :)

Thanks for the answer Bgmx.
Next time I'll check for the compatibility before buying... the X210 is more than twice the price on Amazon :S
But for now, I'll wait for the support on this one, and keep posted here.

Good luck for the dev guys (sorry I couldn't be of any help...)

Hi nafraf,

I have a quantity of the IXUS145 Cameras, so I am willing an able to test and report.

Do you plan on putting your source code in the usual place.

I have one camera also but ill be giving it to my parents as gift just today (a little late additional christmas gift), the stupid camera doesnt even allow you to change the JPG settings to superfine, theres not option for chaning the quality of your photos in the menu... Horrible. The images also dont look (i believe because of the JPG settings too good), so a CHDK would be great for this camera.

FWIW, the difference between fine and superfine is usually not significant unless you are looking carefully at 100% zoom. E.g. http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=8613.msg92459#msg92459

Whatever the shortcomings of this camera are, I wouldn't expect quality overrides to help much.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Yeah i did some shoots with "studio" lighting and the differences were noticeable but only a little. (I tried fine and superfine on ixus 132 and i think the results shoulkd be transferable to ixus 145 and it looked almost the same. but what i noticed is better quality image from ixus 145 (crisper etc.) in comparison with ixus 132, even with only fine JPG quality :-).

Attached is a IXUS145-100c Pre-Alpha test version, Ixus145-100c-1v54660-full.zip (16-07-2016)

I have now tested it on around 40+ Ixus145-100c cameras with no crashes.

But some stuff might not work as not every thing, in this version, was fully tested.
