ALT mode key ideas.

Hi guys!

I'm a user of a SX150IS and I often use the built-in effects and scene modes this camera has. I also switch very often from video to picture quickly and use the playback mode also very often.

I have configured the ALT button to be the DISP button, but frequently I have change the configuration of the ALT mode to PLAYBACK button or VIDEO button (which I use a lot too) in order to be able to configure the effects of the camera.
So, with this in mind, I'm wondering if it's possible to add more buttons to the possible current CHDK ALT MODE configuration (such as ISO or +- buttons), so the user can have more choices for ALT shortcut.

Or, is it possible that the ALT mode is accessed by pressing a certain button for 2 o 3 seconds?

You should be able to get the original function of the alt button if you hold it down ~1/2 sec. The only case I know of where this doesn't work is if the Canon firmware also needs a long press (which is used for some face detect shortcuts for example), CHDK only sends a "click" no matter what.
