Before I wade in too far, I was hoping to get expert opinion on the best way to do the following.
I have a weather web site (
http://OldPumpWeather.deadcowz.com) and would like to create 1 or 2 daily Time Lapse Videos from either
Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 - 2 MP usb webcam
Canon S2 IS
Canon Powershot A2200
These would be permanently attached to a server where either:
The images could be grabbed and made into a movie
Added as a 'camera' to the Blue Iris Security Camera Software, which can take shots at timed intervals (1 minute) and create an MP4 movie I can use.
The Logitech is already attached to the server and hooked into the Blue Iris software and is doing the above, but it is nearsighted, and can't really do infinity (I am awaiting a -2 Diopter viewfinder lens to try to do the
Hubble Fix). BUT, I would rather have a REAL camera take the images.
Is there any way to make the S2 IS or A2200 be seen as a USB camera for the Blue Iris Software (easiest solution)?
If not, what would be the process to have an automated timelapse movie created daily (sunrise to sunset)?
Thanks for any input on this!
Phil
