I'm having some issues getting the USB remote to work on my old IXUS65. I currently have CHDK version 1.3 booting from the SD card. Everything is working except I cannot trigger from USB. I have enabled the USB remote in the menu and tried various combinations of switch types and control modes without any luck.

I have checked my remote cable connections using a multimeter. I have been applying ~4.7V to the red/black wires.

Is anyone able to confirm the USB remote function works for the IXUS65?

I can (tried 1.4, but that should not make a difference).
If you disable USB remote in the CHDK menu and connect the camera to a PC, is it recognized?

Yes the PC still recognizes the camera when the remote is disabled.

I tried updating CHDK to version 1.4 to see if that made a difference - it did not.

Can I ask what remote settings you are using?

Onepush, normal and a USB cable with its other end in the PC.

Just got it to work! I had the ALT menu up at first which was preventing the remote trigger from working. The next step is triple checking my cable. Thanks for the help  :)
