Try increasing the timeout value for wait_click.
You are still able to turn of the camera normally? Then it's not "frozen" as such.

I can turn off the camera and then restart fine. I changed the script to "wait_click 2" and will see if that works or not.

By the way, I have the camera set to be on all the time..so that we don't have to start up every time we take a break. After only a dozen or so pictures, the battery (alkaline) are doen to 50% or so. Yes, I have the camera LCD screen set to off.

I tried 5000 and Nothing happened when I pushed the remote shutter. So changed it to 1000 at first and then 250 instead and it took photos again. All that 5000 seems to do is force me to hold the shutter button down longer and only then will the camera take the picture. So i prefer it to be a shorter number.

If I have further problems...I may try SDM as suggested above.

I wanted to post a picture of the entire set up in action that I have been working on for what seems to be weeks. It is his first day trying out the camera and tweaking the settings for everything to run smoothly.

I wanted to thank everyone for here for helping me build the usb remote, get the right camera, set it up with chdk and other helpful tips. I am totally hooked on this stuff and will continue to learn more in my spare time. In the mean time this photographer is going to begin to learn to take pictures again and I hope to have interesting things to post in the coming weeks.
