Okay, I have been using an ELPH 300HS for lots of time-lapse over the past year. I find myself most interested in astro time-lapses. I have learned quite a bit in this time with lots of testing and have become mush more proficient with my techniques. I have taken a hell of a lot of pics with this camera, the shutter count has to be extremely high.
So i'm looking for a step up to a better performing camera. Better handling of high ISO noise would be good. A larger sensor, native RAW, manual control, faster lens (aperture) and other generally beneficial aspects are a plus. I figure probably the most important be that the camera is proven to work well/stable with CHDK and time-lapse related scripts.
The camera need not be the absolute latest and greatest. I actually prefer used or refurb. A few models in my head are the G11 or S110. I'm just not as familiar with Canon's line of cameras as I am with Panny and Sony.
Thx
I may have not posted this in the correct forum section. Apologies if that's the case.
