SX50 Firmware Version

Hi Folks,

I have the SX50 and I'm trying to install CHDK onto a card using card trick but the card is 16gb so won't become bootable and I can't find out the firmware version of my SX50. I've tried usinf a method of creating text files on the card but that doesn't work on the SX50 can anyone suggest another method please as I want to be able to use the SX50 for timelapses.

I really wish we could fine a way to remove all instances for CardTricks from the internet.  It's old and does not work for recent cameras but people keep finding it and trying to use it anyway.

How did you come across it?

I'd suggest you try this instead :  STICK   and take a look here if you have further trouble : Prepare_your_SD_card

Hi,

I have managed to get CHDK on to my card and when I boot my camera it shows on boot for a few seconds but then I have no option to access the menu. I have tried pushing up, using the set and display buttons but nothing and also the shortcut button. Is there another way to access the menu for chdk?

Please disregard my last message as I managed to fugure it out, I wasn't pressing the menu button  :blink:
