I'm using CHDK 1.3 on my Canon S100. Scripts I've been using are the KAP script and the 3DR mapping script. I want the camera to shoot every 2 seconds, but it only seems to be shooting at 3-4 seconds.
With my S100, the latest version of kap_uav.lua (v3.4) runs at about 2.4 seconds per shot. But I'm not using RAW.
Note that Canon RAW on the S100 might be faster than CHDK RAW/DNG if you are experimenting.
Any ideas? I am recording images in RAW. Is the camera just too slow? People seem to have been using it pretty successfully for mapping, which requires a 2 second interval for shots.
The speed of your SD card will affect the shot rate. Nothing like a good class 10 card to speed things up.
Also, kap_uav.lua is not really written to optimize shooting time There are a couple of fixed delays that could be taken out if getting reliably to 2 seconds is crucial. I can look at that.
Incidentally, the 3.4 script release will now time stamp your images to about 20 mSec resolution.
