Blinking display on canon A2500

I am running chdk on 2 cameras. One is an A1200 IS and the other is an A2500. Chdk is rock steady on the 1200. On the 2500 I get a blinking display and erratic behavior. I used stick to install both cameras and re-formatted my card and re-installed on the 2500 and I still get the blinking viewfinder. I am new to chdk and could well be doing something wrong. I hope someone can offer some insight. thanks to all.

Some display interference between the Canon UI and the CHDK UI is normal and unfortunately unavoidable.  This because the Canon UI does not know the CHDK UI is writing to the LCD.   There might be a software way to overcome that but nobody has figured it out so far.

The amount of interference varies between different camera models and is always worse in shooting mode than in playback mode.

If you have things like focus tracking or face tracking enabled in the Canon menu then it will tend to make things even worse - you might want to check for that on your A2500.
