Hello. I have an  ELPH160 Camera and I would like to test the latest build at my own risk. Would you please send it to me?
Link sent.

I think we should start discussing how to warn users if we decide to enable autobuild.
Include something scary in the readme? Put a word other than 'alpha' in the filename?

Replace the CHDK boot logo with a skull & crossbones bitmap ?

Should definitely put a warning and link to the relevant posts in the notes.txt.

Not a bad idea, but I'm not sure what would fit and convey the message. _DANGER ?

We could update the wiki downloads page, either to warn specifically about this camera, or warn about any camera with whatever we pick to put in the filename.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

All a noble effort .. but I'd bet that nobody struggling through loading CHDK for the first time will trip over them or realize what they mean.

The notes.txt file? Really ?

Sorry ...

I like skull logo idea :D

What if we add a prefix to platform name? That should be visible when people download file from autobuild:
Something like: RISKY_ixus160_elph160-100a-1.4.0-4265-full.zip

I'm experiencing a random shutdown with the lens out when simply taking a picture with CHDK loaded.
I'm using ixus160_elph160-100a-1.4.0-4262-full build.
Could you send me a newer version ?

I will be posting a link to ELPH 160 images in the diybookscanner.org forum soon. I am going to accompany the links with a link to this description of the bug: http://tenrec.builders/cameras/elph160.html

It seems like there could be something similar that you click through to download an image for it from the CHDK site.

BTW, please let me know if I am incorrect in my summary at the link or if there is any way that the text can be improved or clarified.

Hey dudes, i'm patiently wayting for the porting into the autobuild of this chdk since the page n10 of this thread.
I use 3 i160 but bricked one while attempting to remove rgb filter. So i've got one for pieces in case of problem with this chdk.

Without using a partitioned sd card is the risk so important ?

Can you please get a romlog and upload it here? Miscellaneous stuff -> Debug Parameters -> Save ROM crash log

Revision 4262 already has a fix that's supposed to enable some CHDK overrides, newer revisions don't have significant improvements.

@Ben29

The problem is that we don't know what was the real cause of misbehaviour.
The specific condition (card fills up while shooting raw) is no longer allowed to happen, but the bug (if any) can still be lurking somewhere.
I sent you a link in case you'd like to give it a try.
