I'm just a newbie on all of this lol That maybe the issue as I didn't set any parameters. I set the script and hit the shutter and I get this blinking in the bottom of the screen that says Started MDFB 2013 V1.1A Alt . I think it may very well be the to save battery power truning off.
You probably need to learn a bit about how to use CHDK scripts.

Scripting : Program Your CameraUnfortunately, much of CHDK is somewhat experimental - it won't "just work" without your help. You probably need to adjust at least the
Trigger Threshold - see below.
It also just sits there not taking a photo . I've even put my hand in front of it waving it to give it the motion factor and it never takes a photo.
You are going to need to tune the script's sensitivity settings for your camera.
