I run the izoomer on G1x and SX230. On G1x it works fine but on SX230 it crashes (cam goes off) after first change of zoom…
I expect this to be an issue with the way the SX230 handles the set_zoom( ) function rather than an issue with the script.  There had been some activity related to this recently although I don't remember the camera model (I'm answering this on a mobile so searching is not easy).  The same fixes on that other thread for the port probably need to be tried here.

Dumping a ROMLOG would confirm this if the assert is from focuslenscontroller.c

Yes, that’s it
Zooming via script is not really important for me. I saw on my G1x, that the zooming is not really continues changes. I hooped with the less zoom range and 120 steps, I would look more continuous.
So nobody should spend much time on this….

Izoomer works on SX230 with Refocus Mode ‘Auto’. ND Filter in does not work correct, because the ND of SX230 has less than 2 steps and not 3 steps as the other cams from canon.

It's been a while since I used the script. I am also not sure if I have ever used it with the SX50.

If I use the script with the SX50, then the pictures are totally underexposed. Not with the G1x. Before I search more intensively, could it have something to do with the changes in the ND filters?

Maybe.

What setting are you using for the script parameter :

ND filter level [ Auto In Out ] ?

Same problem, independent if I use Auto, In or Out.
Today I comment all set function and let camera run in AV mode. That works.
Code: [Select]
-- set_tv96_direct(tv96)
-- set_sv96(sv96)
--set_av96(av96)
--set_ev(ev96+ec96adjust)

Can you go into the /CHDK/LOGS folder in your SD card and post the log file here as an attachment please?  It will likely be called LOG_0001.TXT.
