Hi friends. I'm having a problem with chdk 1.3 and my canon sx50.

Simple overrides aren't working neither by scripts nor by chdk menu when I'm with flash on, or hot shoe flash.

The override appear in canon osd but when it took a photo, overrides didn't work.

I tried in P and M mode.

Any solution?

As mentioned here :  CHDK User Manual :  Enhanced Photo Operations

Warning : some setting in the Canon menus may interfere with CHDK's ability to override focus and exposure settings. For many cameras, having the camera configured with Servo AF enabled can cause overrides to be ignored. Also, if your camera has a hot shoe for an external flash unit, anything in that hot shoe bracket (like a cover, bubble level, or external flash unit) can cause CHDK overrides to be ignored.

As mentioned in response to one of your other posts,  you can disable the hot shoe from interfering using the CHDK Enhanced Photo Operation -> Hotshoe override option

Hi friend, I don't want to override the hot shoe. I want to override the av/tv/ISO with a hot shoe flash attached.

As you told me, in the manual say that if there is anything in hot shoe bracket can cause chdk overrides to be ignored.

My question is: there any solution for this "problem"?

No - other than overriding the hotshoe as I suggested.

Edit : a more permanent fix would require someone to do a lot of low level disassembly work to hook the shooting path when the hot shoe is enabled
