Hi,
      This is only a thought, one that I would like for my A590is. I have a Cybershot F717 with a menu feature called neg.art, which allows me to see images as negatives, and photograph them as such. I imagine this is software function, but I really have no idea. I know that there are several programs out there that allow me to convert my camera's images to negatives, but seeing them as negatives, before shooting, would be a big help, since they appear quite different.

Negative in the live view would be quite difficult IMO. The digic image processing engine might be able to do it (like the "my colors" etc in the canon firmware) , but we don't know how to program that if it's possible.

Always worth asking.  It''s hard to know what is easy to do and what's almost impossible with CHDK until you have done a lot of work with it. Some of CHDK's more useful features have resulted from questions such as yours.
