SX530HS USB Remote not working without running script

I have ported the SX530HS-100c code to SX530HS-100a code. Everything seems to be working fine, except the USB remote.

When I set the remote to trigger a script, it triggers the script when in "<alt>" mode. So the USB "key" is working.

But, when I set the settings to "OnePush", "Normal", nothing happens.

What can I do or where can I start to look at the cause?

The USB remote will only take a picture when you exit <ALT> and are back in normal Canon shooting mode.

This is the default and I tried this, but nothing happens. When I go into <alt> mode then things starts happening, but in "normal" mode, nothing.

Could you post the 100a firmware? I think that it is not part of firmware dump repository.

Did you also set the Remote Enable [ * ] menu entry?

Update :  try the attached script and see what it does?

What is the easiest way to dump, as I don't have access to the repository?
