Oh, I see. Is it possible to increase the free RAM? I have a 16GB SDHC card.
There are several memory model option that a CHDK developer can select.  But this is not something an end user can access - it's decide when the port is compiled.   And typically the developer will pick the memory model that makes the most free RAM available for CHDK use.

Your SD card is "external storage".  Too slow to be used for program execution.

Is this enough free RAM for keeping track of 28 800 bad pixels?
As waterwingz says, it's on the low side. You could be OK just shooting DNG, but you might run into problems running scripts or using other features that need more RAM. Generally, if the camera runs out of free RAM, it will crash, so if you aren't experiencing crashes, it's probably OK for the things you are doing.

Attached is a test build that enables another RAM area. Please check that it loads and runs OK.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

The 4228 test build seem to run fine and free RAM did increase! :) (previously 398800 bytes)

Thanks for checking. I've enabled that in the autobuilds. It's still a bit low, but if you aren't running into crashes it's probably OK.
