Can't find a build for the Canon S100v

Hello,

A friend of mine just acquired a Canon S100v. When using "Stick" to find out which version of CHDK is suitable for his camera I get the message : There is no build for S100v ! How come the S100v is different from the S100 ?
Has anybody succeeded ?

After some googling, the s100v appears to be the China-only version of the S100 that doesn't have GPS.
Try to make a firmware dump and upload it somewhere. If you're very lucky, the existing s100 port may be usable on the camera.

Thanks for the info and for your help :D. I will try "to make a firmware dump" ( never done it before ). Why do you write  "and upload it somewhere" ?

'somewhere' means a file sharing site you're familiar with. This forum has an attachment size limit, so it's easier to upload bigger files to an other host and link it from your post.
