Just got my G5X and, damn, it's a 101e  :(
Not being a developer, is there any chance I will see CHDK for a 101e version?
Please make a dump of that firmware and upload it somewhere. https://chdk.fandom.com/wiki/Canon_Basic/Scripts/Dumper

@srsa_4c

Embarrassed to say I'm struggling at the moment, having never done a dump before.
Have used EOSCard and have two files on my card (4Gb).

Extend.m has the script in it.
Script.req has the string 'for DC_scriptdisk', ie without quotes
I locked the card, but tried unlocked at well.
Play mode
Pressed SET
Nothing
Tried changing the zoom, ie left and right.
I'm obviously missing a trick.
Can you you see where I'm going wrong?

It could be that EOSCard failed to write the SCRIPT flag on card.
You could try the alternatives on this page. If still no luck, try reformatting the card in camera and re-install the SCRIPT flag.
The cam needs to be started in playback mode, SET is the button that starts the script. Do not lock the card when running scripts.

@srsa_4c

Strange. Used HxD to confirm script correctly written by EOSCard at the required offset
I have the other two files, ie extend.m and the script.req with the correct text in it, ie for DC_scriptdisk
I don't have the card locked
I did format (low) in Cam
I start in Play mode
I press SET
I even tweak the focus lever.
Nothing.
It's obviously something silly I'm doing, but I cant see where  >:(

Nothing.
Since you have other cameras, you could turn one of your cards to a script-card by running the following Lua script:
Code: [Select]
call_event_proc("System.Create")
call_event_proc("MakeScriptDisk",0)
Then copy script.req and extend.m on that card, unlock it and try running the dumper. You can try it on one of the other cameras to confirm that the dumper works. If still no luck, try the second script from https://chdk.fandom.com/wiki/Canon_Basic/Scripts/Dumper (Improved universal dumper).
Oh, you really don't need to touch the zoom lever.

edit:
When you're finished, erase script.req and extend.m from the card (so that you don't accidentally run it later).

Tried the two line script, but got native calls disabled message
I thought you were familiar with that (you need to enable native calls to run c_joerg's focus script, etc). Miscellaneous stuff -> Enable Lua native calls
edit: OK

@philmoz

Just got my G5X and it's 101e.
@srsa_4c suggested I share the dumps, so here they are: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/qewikkq0dd6z1x7/AAATpwVLn-7vwhYjtwo6C-SFa?dl=0
@srsa_4c also suggested that 101d should/may be OK. I would welcome hearing that this is the case, so I can start using CHDK.
Cheers
Garry
