Unfortunately I don't have the same firmare version:101a.
So I said to myself, it's not a big deal, I will dump my firmware to share it.
I have prepared my card as explained in https://chdk.fandom.com/wiki/Canon_Basic/Card_Setup#Overview with the Improved universal dumper https://chdk.fandom.com/wiki/Canon_Basic/Scripts/Dumper.
Then I start the camera with the play mode, but when I hit the set button, nothing happens.
Any idea on what I did wrong?

Did you check the card root directory for PRIMARY.BIN and CBDUMPER.LOG ?

edit:
If neither of those are present, my first guess would be the card preparation wasn't correct

Hi,
I'm new to this forum and I'm not a developer too. My camera version is 1.010 but i have done a firmware dump.
I can share it (just tell me where i can put it) in case of someone more experienced than me will try to add this new version.

As for me, I will try to continues with the process of adding a new firmware version, but it can be long... and i don't wanna break my camera.

Use a file hosting service, like google drive, dropbox, box.com etc and post a link here.

Note the version number relevant to CHDK will be like GM1.00A, but we can get that from the dump so you don't need to do anything to find the correct one.

Thanks. Your firmware is 101b. Firmware addresses differ from the 100a port, so a new port will be needed.

Sorry I was away for a few days.
But I managed to dump my firmware.

It is 1.01a version. So from what you are saying, it needs a new port as well.
So does it mean a new port made from scratch is needed or with “minor” modifications from other version it could be adapted?
