Thanks.  This should be fixed in 1.4 and 1.5 from autobuilds 4357 onward.

If you can test any of the items mentioned on the keyboard rework wiki entry http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Testing_Needed#Test_needed that would be appreciated. Either 1.4 or 1.5 is fine, no need to do both.

What are you trying to show in the movie?

Note that you can turn off that annoying help screen that keeps obscuring the display.

I just downloaded and installed last 1.4 version (27.05.2016). I hoped that this last version eliminated a bug found in other older release (don't remember date, but no older than 1 month). In Miniature mode I get pics like those attached. Both affected jpg and dng. Curiously, recording movies in Miniature mode doesn't affect image.

SX510HS
Does this happen only when DNG is enabled? If so, the solution is probably just to add code to disable CHDK DNG in this mode.

If it happens to the jpeg when DNG is not enabled, then we need to investigate further.

What is the firmware version of your sx510? Probably, we can fix the bug using task_developseq hook.
