My general feeling is there are a couple more things I want to finish before releasing 1.5.

* The ND improvements
* some minor stuff related to HDMI / AV / alternate remotes
* maybe some things related cameras with canon raw: detecting/controlling when it's enabled,  making it play nice with remote shoot
* Expose clock setting without requiring native calls

More seriously, we haven't added a whole lot in the way of user visible features, so I haven't felt any rush to do a new release.

At least the ND improvements are very far advanced by now.

Koshy had a little ELPH which wasn't white as snow but everywhere that Koshy went the ELPH was sure to go. (actually an SD, but that detail ruins the rhyme...)

Thanks - hoping to get back to it this winter.  But I think that I said that last year too. 

What has held me back is finding a method to "meter" the light intensity in real time so that P, TV, Av priority modes at least warn the use what exposure settings will be used when the shutter button is fully pressed.

So, I've been putting this off, but I think it's time (ok, long past  :-[) to "release" 1.5

The main reason is that the PTP and zoom fixes are a significant improvement for a lot of cameras, and the number of ports not in the stable release.

I'm not aware of any areas 1.5 is worse that 1.4.

So unless there are objections, I'll declare 1.5 "release candidate" for a week or two, and then move it over. @msl or @rudi let me know if there is any constraints for updating the chdkde builds.

It would be nice to get the lang files updated. There aren't too many changes, I'll post details a bit later.

There are no objections from the CHDKde side for the 1.5 release.
It might make sense to check the alpha or beta status of various cameras.
