Servo, Safety and Continuous MF off
Set Av mode
Lock focus in canon UI with half shoot + left

Exact what I did before I run the Script. I see already changes between half and full shoot. Attached the script which I run.

Code: [Select]
Half get_focus 244 sd1 295 sd2 295
Full get_focus 244 sd1 295 sd2 295
Half get_focus 244 sd1 295 sd2 295
Full get_focus 236 sd1 295 sd2 295
Half get_focus 236 sd1 295 sd2 295
Full get_focus 224 sd1 295 sd2 295
Half get_focus 224 sd1 295 sd2 295
Full get_focus 224 sd1 295 sd2 295
Half get_focus 224 sd1 295 sd2 295
Full get_focus 229 sd1 295 sd2 295
Because of the undefined sharpness at 24mm/Av=5.6 I will send this G7x back and I will order I new one. I heard in other forums, that there are big differences between the samples.

New build posted in https://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=12692.msg127047#msg127047

Main change is the addition PTP remote shoot support.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Only change is the CHDK OSD can now be seen when not in alt mode.

running last build, I've seen a strange thing when navigating the menus: when the dial is in movie mode, the menus are constantly changing, the underlined item always jumping from the current position to the previous one (or even former one). this does not seem to happen when dial in other position.

I also see this behaviour in the SX60HS (100f) build. Dial in movie position, press shoot to enter REC mode. Then play to enter Alt mode...the chdk menu selection flickers between two choices.  If the dial is not in movie mode, it is stable at one position.

Thanks for the report, I can confirm I see the same thing. Probably means the active UI buffer isn't identified correctly in video mode. Interestingly, I don't see this behavior while recording a video, whether in video mode or a still mode.

On Sx60hs I also see this behaviour in Auto mode, just scroll down the menu so that it can flicker up an item and then back down.

Hi,
I would like to try out your CHDK on my G7X. Its firmware version is 100c instead of 100d, and I cannot launch the CHDK from "Firm update". Do you know if the migration is easy to do - if you explain it to me, I could be able to do it. I could not find how to switch from 100c to 100d for my G7X either.
Best regards, Jonathan

AFAIK you're the first person reporting a 100c firmware revision. Please make a dump of your camera's firmware: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Canon_Basic/Scripts/Dumper

Updated build (r4666) posted https://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=12692.msg127047#msg127047

Main change is including 62ndidiot's experimental MD https://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=12918.0 - active FB is found, so response time should be decent.
