Here's a test build for a800 100b https://app.box.com/s/mgfrkcsun6xxyde057nv7saouyocltww

This does not fix anything, but maybe will provide some information. When you start, it should show some hex numbers on the screen like.

FL:  0xnnnnnnnn
PS1: 0xnnnnnnnn
PS2: 0xnnnnnnnn
PS3: 0xnnnnnnnn

For now, I'm interested in FL:
* What number does it show when you first boot the camera,
* does it change if the play button is pressed
* does it change after the play button has been clicked
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Hey there,

I reloaded the A550 version (a550-100c-1.5.0-4314-reyalp-KeyMask-test-2) to check the start buttons.

I removed the batteries and I have relocated.

In (on / off) button above the camera, this is turned on, and working properly. Then I tried it with the (play) play button and the camera has been turned on properly, and I just had to press again the (play) button to enter the photo and video mode. With the (print) button, you enter in <alt>

Again I removed the batteries and I have relocated.

Then I loaded version (a550-100c-1.5.0-4314-reyalp-KeyMask-test-3) and the camera starts properly, so pressing the button (on / off) and with the (play) button.

With build two versions of the A550 works well with both the two buttons (on / off) and with the (play) is connected correctly

Perhaps the problem was in trouble removing the batteries.

In the camera with the A800 version (a800-100b-1.5.0-4315-reyalp-debug-1)
The number is FL: 0x00000021
Pressing the (play) button, change the number when pressed lightly, activating the <alt> mode with "default script". The number shows FL: 0x04000021
Pressing it again returns to the initial number FL: 0x00000021
And you exit the mode <alt>

Thanks. Sounds like both start correctly, but the reason the test-1 and test-2 builds didn't start before is unexplained.

Some people noticed before there was a difference with the play button, depending on how long you pressed.

I thought on A800 you could not enter alt mode with builds after 1.3? Did I misunderstand, or is it "fixed" in this version?

Hey there,

 With the downloaded version of autobuild ( a800-100b - 1.4.1-4316 -full ) and ( a800-100b - 1.5.0-4315 -full ) , the A800 camera , is not in < alt > mode, pressing the ( PLAY) button

Pressing the ( PLAY) button the camera switches to playback mode.

This report was the problem in my first post .

With the " versions reserved " ( a800-100b - 1.3.0-4296 ) works correctly , entering in < alt > mode pressing the ( PLAY) button

a800-100b-1.5.0-4315-reyalp-debug-1 works like 1.3 or 1.4 and 1.5 autobuild?

Hey there,

I do not understand your question .

What I do when I perform the test , is fully erase the SD card , and copy the entire contents of the archive ( a800-100b-1.5.0-4315-reyalp-debug-1.zip ) in the SD card.

I do not understand your question .

Is this correct:

a800-100b-1.5.0-4315-full and a800-100b-1.4.1-4316-full
PLAY does not switch to alt mode.
CHDK is not usable, because you cannot enter alt mode.

a800-100b-1.5.0-4315-reyalp-debug-1
PLAY play switches to alt mode.
CHDK works.

Thanks for your help and patience.

ok, so it is.

in the version a800-100b-1.5.0-4315-reyalp-debug-1, proceed in hexadecimal numbers, and operates alt mode.

 best regards

The reason I wanted to be sure of this is because my change shouldn't have fixed anything  :-[
