If I buy an M10 soon it will probably have 1.1.0f firmware.
Is there a proven way to get to 1.1.0d?

I believe the 6th digit of the serial number is related to the factory firmware version. Mine came with 100a, the sixth digit is 0. If no intermediate versions exist between 100a and 110d, '1' should also be safe. If it's 2 or more, it might have a later fw.
I don't have a ready-made SD card based solution for checking the fw version, unfortunately.
However, I don't think the 110f port will take too long.

M10 110f test version
« Reply #103 on: 29 / April / 2017, 07:23:23 »
An untested port and test release for firmware 110f is now available. Testers are strongly encouraged to report whether it works correctly.

110d release is also updated.

No progress on the exposure override issue yet...

Good news! Thanks!
This means I can buy an M10 next month and test things.

I had a problem with the camera ,I was silly , I tried to operate with the CHDK 110d
formated sd card whith eos card and the camera no longer wanted to restart.

I removed the battery for 12 hr and re-tried, I pressed all buttons but impossible to make it re-operate.
I was afraid and i'm going back to the store to exchange ,and  the seller tried to operate the camera and it went back to work.

I think but I'm not sure that the camera went back to work  when the lens was removed and replaced because I had not removed and replaced  the lens .

I nevertheless exchanged it for for the sony camera again, canon is a good caméra  but after having tested the 2 cameras  I  think  that the sony camera gives a better image whith less picture noise than canon M10 . And also iI was afraid of damaging the camera again, But I was wrong this did not cause any damage to the camera and apparently it works with other people.

There may be still the problem of star eater with sony camera but I will do with.
Thank you for your work.

Did you remove or low level reformat the SD card too?

I removed the card before trying to start the camera again.
I reformatted the sd card before returning the device to the store.

I formatted the sd card with eos card but it made it stopped working the camera.
The camera was restarted only at the dealer and there was no longer the sd card inside, curiously the camera went back to normal operation only when the merchant replaced the interchangeable lens that I had to remove for the replace correctly in the box.
This may be good for future users who might have this kind of problem.

cannot confirm that you need to remove the lens to make a camera which you did try to start with a wrong CHDK/FW version - yes camera hangs when trying this, but simply removing the SD card an unlocking it starts camera again without problems - no need to remove the battery or the lens.

Note: trying to operate the M10 with a SD card door not closed correct will not start the camera at all - maybe you did not close the SD card door?
