successfully installed the pre-alpha M10 version, the CHDK logo lights up but i can't access the Menu or the <alt> mode by pressing the Playback-Button...does anybody have an idea what is wrong? :/
I suppose the following means you do not have another camera with CHDK:
I am completely new with CHDK
?
In case you have used the card in another CHDK camera, please remove all .cfg files from the card's CHDK folder.

Other than that, I have no definite idea. Does the playback button work correctly? If you press it quickly, does it still switch between shooting and playback mode?

I was just wondering if anyone is still working on this.
Is there a way a noob could help?

Are there specific features/improvements you would like to see? A list of things you're missing would be helpful. I then could have a chance saying whether they can be expected.

A fully functional CHDK would be the first goal I guess.
Next would be the incorporation of the extra (?) features of this camera.
Or perhaps a fix for the supposed IS activity even when not needed.

Sure. What I meant is existing CHDK features that someone is actually missing.

I can say though that, for example, movie related CHDK features do not seem to be possible on DIGIC 6 cameras at the moment.

Examples, please.

Well, someone with, say, an EF-S 18-55 IS lens could do some power consumption measurements with the IS switch on and off. That would help deciding whether spending time researching this matter is worth it or not.

edit:

I still need people benchmarking fast UHS cards with the benchmark tool:
Miscellaneous stuff -> Tools -> Benchmark
Does anyone get reading or writing speeds above 20 MB/sec ?

Hello everyone,
I read all he pages of your comments .
I have to order the eos M10 and i would like to know if it's possible with CHDK hack to unlock  the bulb mode
on the eos m10 or to increase the range of exposure beyond 30 seconds for a use in astronomy.
He does not seem to exist on this modéle but on M3 which seems to have the same firmware system .
And is it possible to obtain the video HD in 60fps with M10 ?.
The wifi/USB remote live view is it active on pc windows system with this model?

A lot of descriptions indicates the bulb mode on this model but its true or false ?.

Thank you for yours reply.

The firmware doesn't offer bulb exposure. Since PowerShots never offered bulb mode, I don't know if it will be possible to introduce it on this camera.

This is not implemented yet, but it's on my to-do list.

I don't use the camera's wifi, so I have no idea. Remote live view is possible over a USB connection, using chdkptp on the PC.

Exposure time can be overridden in the CHDK menu. You can also override it in scripts (CHDK offers two scripting languages: Lua and uBasic).
Since most cameras with the 18MP Canon sensor have bulb mode, I don't think it's easy to destroy it with long exposures.

have you try to increase the exposure time and what it works on this M10?
I shall try it when i shall receive the device but that do not seem easy for me and i loses the way to make me pay off.

I had tested the sony A5000  but it has the star eaten problem on bulb mode.
M10 does not have the bulb mode  >:(
