Do you guys still need a Firmware Dump from v1.1.0?
I could make and upload mine, if needed.
That would be helpful, thanks.

Sorry it took me a while.
Here is my FW dump from v1.1.0

Here is my FW dump from v1.1.0
Thank you!

I have checked in the initial port for this camera.
Release notes from notes.txt:

Quote
Default ALT button is the playback button.

Issues

- To start the cam with the playback button, hold down the button a little longer

- CHDK overlay drawing is slow, default font is tiny
- many GUI modules don't respect screen resolution
- most framebuffer related features do not work, including
    - zebra
    - histogram (camera has a native one though)
    - edge overlay
    - custom auto iso overexposure protection
- booting with .fi2 is untested, but most likely makes the camera unstable
- CHDK dark frame subtraction control only seems effective when Canon setting is on AUTO

Tested (using 15-45 kit lens)

- Exposure overrides in (semi-)manual modes (not very extensively)
- CHDK RAW/DNG in (semi-)manual modes (Av, Tv, M, P) (not very extensively)
- PTP play/rec switch
- llibtst.lua
- setmode.lua - one failure with default 10ms delay, works with 100ms
- ubtest.bas
- hooktest.lua (Av, Tv, M, P)
- isobase.lua
- PTP live view (has problems with overlay dimensions, only 3:2 aspect ratio tested)
- Motion detection (reaction time not tested)
- USB remote - plug test
- chdkptp cam tests

Untested

- RAW/DNG, overrides in scene/auto modes

Not implemented

- CHDK touchscreen functionality
- CHDK mirrorless camera support is not complete
    - Zoom related functionality is missing (except for focal length display)
    - Most focus related functions are not working and are untested
- Movie features are missing
- Filewritetask is not currently supported
Prealpha1 release attached to this post.

Hey, thanks for uploading your alpha1. :)
I tried it on my M10 and it works.

What I noticed the most is, that the CHDK menu is flashing constantly.
It's really hard to impossible to change or choose the option I wanted.
Also the curser is jumping around like crazy.

Did you experience the same?

Try shutting off anything screen item  that is updating from canon. Every update will cause a refresh.

What I noticed the most is, that the CHDK menu is flashing constantly.
That's a known problem affecting CHDK when Canon graphical elements are continuously updated on screen. It's worse on DIGIC 6.

You can either reduce the number of Canon stuff on screen (with the INFO button in rec mode), or switch to playback mode (hold down the play button for a second) when you intend to browse the CHDK menu.

Not sure I understand exactly what you mean. Can you make a short video?

edit:
Note that touch operations are not disabled when you're in CHDK ALT mode (in the menu or otherwise), so avoid touching the LCD during that time.

FWIW, market and real ISO seems to be equal on the m10.

Could you try to run rawopint on the M10, just a couple of shoot, and post the log file….
Are you looking for something specific (such as script setup / scene type), or just some random shots?
Yes just 10 random shoots with default parameters.
I’m mostly interested if the m10 got messages like:
Code: [Select]
tv 361 != cam 576
sv 411 != cam 480
but also about the values for focal length, batterie, temperature….

EOS M3 101a, 2*G1x (101a,100e), S110 (103a), SX50 (100c), SX230 (101a), IXUS160 (100a), IXUS30 (100k), 2*S45,

Attached. No "!" in the file. Set it to 10 shots, but it took an extra shot at the end (cam was in continuous mode). Don't know if that's normal or not.

Thanks…

Yes, Sometimes is happens in continuous mode.
Interesting the black_level=2047, much higher as all my cams…
Which optic do you use? The focal length is 15mm… so I would think it is the EF-M 15-45…
But you got no problems with setting the Sv value. So something happens with the M3…

The image sensor is the (latest and probably last) 18MP Canon sensor. AFAIK other cams with this sensor also use that black level.

I don’t want to waste your time but running drtest.lua and the following stuff would be interesting….
