I like the new format better than the old, but two things that could be better:

  • Quoted text is in a smaller font. Any reason for that? (For me it's too small.)
  • The space for the avatar and the info below it is often taller than the actual message itself, so it takes up room needlessly. Any chance of those being smaller, or even put next horizontally instead of vertically?

I've noticed code tags breaking formatting after the close tag. E.g.
Code: [Select]
foo=bar;
I see this text below the code tag in a fixed width font.
The line height is also very large.
This doesn't seem to be triggered by specific content in the tag, as long as it isn't empty.

edit:
I see this in firefox and IE on windows 7, but not chrome. Screenshot attached.

Don't forget what the H stands for.

I have trouble formatting my posts (regardless of current forum theme). Spacing between paragraphs is uncontrollable. Also noticed the code tag problem.

Test.
New line.

New line after blank line.

Quote
Start Quote Block
line 01
line 02 xyz
line 03   z
test
End Quote Block

Code: [Select]
Start Code Block
line 01;
line 02 = xyz;
line 03  == z;
test;
End Code Block

It should be better now, please verify.

Hi,

1. I've changed it, should be better.
2. Not for now.

Cheers!

Thanks for fixing that, spacing seems now back to normal.

However, text still becomes fixed pitch
Code: [Select]
sample code sectionafter a code section. <- this should not be fixed pitch.

I'm not sure I'm seeing what you're seeing..

edit: Firefox and IE 7, remembered that now. I would have to check this in the meantime.

Yes, definitely better (13px vs 14px). I'd go for the same size, but that's me. :-)

On #2,  :( .

Me either. Safari shows it with the same computed attributes as the text before the code (except for bottom margin, I think).

FF 42 currently, same result when trying without plugins.

edit:
the code tag and the text after it is inside a html <pre> tag - looks like that has a higher priority than other formatting.
